Weigh In Wednesday

D4C,

I've lost 1 lbs this week! A loss, is a loss! I saw this on Pinterest, and thought it was appropriate. I was a little upset it was only 1lbs... although I know exactly what I did this week, to only lose 1lb. So i'll fix that up next week! One Week at a time right? 


I must say pictures are worth a million words take a peek! This is Week 19 and I've lost a total 42.5 lbs! That is an average of 2.23 lbs a week! (there have been a lot of ups and a few downs, but I feel like i'm so close to my goal now! ONLY 17.5lbs left!  I'm going to keep eating super healthy and hopefully my body will find it's natural resting place.

Health

Dancing 4 Cheeseburgers, 

I want to talk about health for a second. This Journey has been eyeopening and life changing for me! Not only do I look better, but I feel amazing! Before this Journey, I had numb feet and hands. Which has completely gone away (only three weeks into this Journey) I had very difficult bowels, they hated me most of the time. Now they love me! No problems at all! I was always out of breath. (winded by my daughters gymnastics class-sad but true) Now I LOVE doing all things active with Penelope. And my skin was never ideal! Now it glows! (seriously though! - I've had two people ask what face cream I use, in the last month) 

The day's I don't work out, make me feel weird! It feels unnatural to not do a walk, run, gym or class! I'm at the point in this Journey, where I ask myself, "What was I doing before?"  Actually though, what the hell was I doing. 

I'm reading this book, that explains coincidences; and how they aren't really coincidences. I'll grab a picture of the book tonight and post it on Thursday! You should all read it. It's one of those books you have to read really slowly, as it's changing the way you think!

Medium

My Beautiful Dancing 4 Cheeseburger friends,

So my cheat meal on Friday was truly a good one! It was a Wendy's Bacon Deluxe with Fries! Oh My LANTA, it was everything!!! (you know how I love me a cheeseburger) 

I went shopping for a dress this week end! (For Ruth & Joe's Wedding!) It's very plain but gorgeous. I love that style simple but pretty! I was the happiest human when I tried on the Large and it was TOO BIG! So I tried on a Medium laughing to myself; and OMG it fit!! And actually looked nice! I almost lost my mind in the change room. I'm positive I squealed a little. A MEDIUM PEOPLE! I haven't owned a Medium since high school! I'll post pictures from the Wedding next Monday so you'll get a better idea, of how it looks. But here are some from the dressing room! (I obviously had to buy cute booties to go with it) 




I know some critics will be saying Karla, Black with Brown! But i'm wearing a leopard print hand bag that pulls it all together. Biggest dilemma for the Wedding now, is what color nails??? (black or nude?)

Short & Sweet

Happy Friday Everyone! Fast Food Friday tonight! CHEAT MEAL!!! Not sure what i'm having yet, but you know it's going to be something delicious. 

I broke my soft measuring tape this morning... I''ll have to buy a new one for measurements next week. The inches better come off this waist. I'm really trying to make my waist smaller! MORE CARDIO & ABS! 

I'm buying a dress this week end for Ruth & Joe's Wedding. I'll post some pictures on Monday, with sizes!!!! (i'm hoping i'm down a few!)

Queen B & Push Ups

Dancing 4 Cheeseburgers,

I have to say my legs have never felt like this! HERE's WHY! I always do squats every week, usually to the "sally song" but this week at dance it was BEYOUNCE theme. So anytime there is a Strong Beat you do regular squats anytime there is a weak beat or no beat you stay in the squat! I did this with both of my dance classes! OH MY LANTA. My legs feel like they are going to fall off, ACTUALLY fall off. (I don't think it helps I ran 200 stairs yesterday!)

On the Dime - Weigh In Wednesday

Weigh in Wednesday, I LOST ANOTHER 1.5LBS! Yes, I am the happiest little human! Oh my lanta! People I'm smaller than my Wedding Weight! FOR REAL, I'm smaller now then the day I got married. (although the weight is not in the same places it was before)  I'm So happy I could cry haha! I want you all to know, I really am still working my BUTT off! I feel the lighter I get, the more I can see some particular weight loss goals! Where before I sort of was one blob, and just could think of the all over picture.

Okay Lets talk HAIR! I officially have a new hairdresser!! (It's been almost two years going rouge, i'm so happy to have found her) My friend Carrigan suggested her and I can't be happier. SHOUT OUT to Melissa Dalley at DIME SALON. You know when a hairdresser says she'll leave some length and then they cut your hair to your ears. NOT THIS GIRL. She was amazing, I still feel like I have some length but its short too! I don't know how she pretty much read my mind! http://www.dimesalonhalifax.com/  Make an appointment you won't regret it! It was reasonably priced on top of it! She also had an opionion, and suggestions which I love! She had a plan for my hair too before I left. (she wants to grow out the bang and the top layer and possibly try parting it in the middle!) LOVE IT! Oh my lanta, I could talk about it and her all day!

A bag of Nerves

D4C,

I'm so nervous about tomorrow's weigh in. I feel like I haven't lost that much. Everyone cross your fingers for me... my hope is I lost something! (anything) I want to stay on this LOSING train I've been on for 17 weeks.

I'm getting my hair all cut off!!! I'm so nervous. Basically i'm a nervous wreck today haha! I'll post some pictures tomorrow, as well as pics for Weigh in Wednesday! It will be a picture filled blog!

Ruth's Bachelorette - Wino Weekend

Hello friends, I have to say the week end was fabulous. To all the ladies who came out BRAVO! It was very chill and "relaxing" hilarious to say for a Bachelorette Party. Exactly what the bride wanted. 

So I went a little crazy for my "cheat day":

A Full Cheat Day

I'm going to be having a little bit of a naughty eating week end. It's my friends Bachelorette Week end! PARTY!!!

I'm going to be good with Alcohol, because I don't really drink. But there is going to be a ton of great food! I'm going to consider Saturday a full CHEAT DAY! and then back to the grind on Sunday! Incentives & Elementary

Yesterday was a big day for me. I'm still high about hitting my 40lbs goal! This is week 17 of this fabulous & difficult Journey! It's cool, how I know forget what "week" i'm on, as I feel like this is just my life now! I'm totally addicted to the healthy buzzy life! 


So look what I've "earned" this week! Oh My Lanta! I think i'll move up the date of my tattoo! What do you guys think! Since I "earned" it, i'm going to share some pictures of inspiration for my new tattoo!

"THE TATTOO": So it will be different flowers representing people and times in my life. Black/Grey/White. I've wanted this my whole life, and was always "scared" to get it. Out of fear of judgement, or thinking I was too "fat" to have them? (odd thought I know) But i'm slowly coming to a place in my life where I honestly don't care what people think! (took me 32 years to get here!) When I was in grade four the teacher handed out papers with blank people on them, and she said to draw the future us! Who we wanted to be and what we wanted to look like! SO I did! While other little girls drew skirts and pigtails on their blank people; I drew a girl with bright red hair, her nose pierced, and an arm full of tattoos, but she also had a brief case and I drew little people all around it! I remember when she said "Karla that's interesting" I responded with, "I am interesting". I honestly don't remember a whole lot from Elementary school, but I do remember that! So i'm DOING IT! 



Whenever I have a chance to get it done. (hopefully by my birthday) I'll take lot's of pictures of the process and the final product!

Weigh In Wednesday


To my lovely D4C,

I'm happy and here! It's Weigh in Wednesday and I've lost -2 lbs! For a total loss of -40lbs! COMPLETED my secret goal of -40lbs by October 3rd. (two weeks early!) Can we take a minute OH MY LANTA!!! -40lbs (big people ... this is big) I'm feeling so great today! 

My next "secret goal" is November 18th  to lose -10lbs!  (with a total loss of -50lbs / my original goal, NBD!!!)

I've come to the realization, that the way I eat now - I will come to a weight naturally. If I keep eating healthy and clean I'll just get to my natural weight! (I guess this is the mind set you get to when you realize it's not a "diet" it's a way of life) Loving change this year, motivated!

Tuesday Goals and Hair

Hello Good Morning, 

I'm so close to my secret goal of 40lbs by October 3rd! I'm going to put on a good push to get there! I now have to think of another secret goal. (I like the little goals) It's sometimes so hard to see the big finish line, but if you break it down into more manageable goals it seems less intimidating! So maybe another 10lbs (for a total of -50lbs loss) for Wednesday November 18th. (eight weeks to lose 10lbs!) TOTALLY DO-ABLE! (maybe too easy, what do we think?) 

ALSO, I've had "long" hair for over 2 years now. And I've decided to cut it off!  Kind of excited, VOTE which one do you like? (I have no idea who these people are, found them all on Instagram)

Waist Trainer

I've been thinking about purchasing a waist trainer... Thoughts? I'm not sure if and how it will work, but i'm willing to try. I find my bodies changing a lot but my waist isn't moving as quickly as I would like. (anyone try it?)

Real Chats & Menu

Good Morning Dancing 4 Cheeseburger Friends, 

It's so weird, even though i'm eating very clean and healthy it feels like i'm NOT;  ever since the RAW CLEANSE. I think i'll cut my carb (i've highlighted when I think I too many carbs) intake down a little more and up my protein and vegetables. Maybe if I cut out the Popcorn for a week and see if that makes any difference? (Gosh but I love my popcorn) We'll see.

Let's real chat for a minute:

So my original goal was March 5th (50lbs) it had recently changed to 60lbs by November 1st. (which I don't think is reasonable anymore as these last 20lbs are much harder to lose than the first 30lbs!)  I'm going to change the end date one more time: I think it should be January 7th! (My Birthday!) It will be a nice present to myself. That gives me just over 17 weeks to lose 22lbs. I feel a more reasonable and acceptable Goal! It would work out to be: 1.3lbs a week! Still a very difficult goal, but a reachable one! (this date will still be 2 months before my original goal + 10 more lbs!)
