Plugged in and Smartening up

Hello are you guys still there?

I'm hanging in there, I hope you are too! I've now gained 15lbs back since the car accident. I have to admit, I am feeling defeated. But I have stopped feeling sorry for myself, and am going to kick butt again. I have three months of summer to get this MOM BOD back to where I was!

I've decided to establish a re-commitment to this lifestyle. I fell off the wagon, got back on and hit a bump and fell off for a second! (This is harder than it seems you know)

My new diet - lifestyle commitments:

1.  I'm trying a new thing... suggested by my good friend! It's called Carb cycling... so I don't eat carbs for six days and on the seventh day you carb load. I feel I can do this easily because I don't eat pasta or bread now, so it would be a little bit easier for me to do this.

2.   I'm also committing to eating a salad 5 days a week for lunch! (every work day!) Not unreasonable. I did it before, I can do it again.

3.  I'm committing to the gym or a work out 4 times a week. (at least 3 during lunches at work)

4.  As soon as i'm adjusted and into a routine, i'll add RAW till 4PM

I have to say I have been losing inches! So it hasn't been a total FAIL.

One year Comparison

Hello Dancing 4 Cheeseburgers Friends,

Started the Stair Challenge with my Co-Worker Collette today! There are 87 stairs! I do these stairs a minimum of 6 times a day. Let's do the math... 522 STAIRS a day!!! That is Approx. 400 Calories! YES WERK! Without even doing a "workout". I love workout challenges, that just get incorporated into your regular life! This my friends is my new passion. Just living in a workout life. (not working out) This is going to be an amazing JUNE. If anyone want's to join us in our Stair Challenge, you are more than welcome too! I would love to hear about your work stairs!

A one year comparison. I'll try and get a shot of me in the same outfit! (now that would be a comparison) : (I notice, my arms and my waist)

Life Work Outs

Happy little blogger today,

So last week I lost 2lbs, for a grand total of 6lbs in three weeks! I've been being very reasonable, and trying to balance life with diet life. That's an average of 2lbs per week! I'm very happy with that.

Reflecting a lot today, as this time last year would mark my first week into this Journey! To think my waist has gone from 39 inches to 32 inches in a year! My hips from 49 inches to 41 inches! And my Bust from 45 inches to 39 inches;  Just makes me so happy!!! This was such an impossible task this time last year. Just happily reflecting on all of the work I have accomplished. It's constantly an uphill battle, but just taking baby steps each day.

I've started working out a lot more this week & it makes me so Happy!

My work out Schedule this week:
Monday: OFF
Tuesday: Zumba at Lunch & Taught Dance for 2.5 hours
Wednesday: Zumba
Thursday: 4km walk at Lunch
Friday: Circuit Training Class at Lunch

My co-worker and I just decided to do a no Elevator Challenge for the Month of June! We won't be taking the Elevator while we are at work for the whole month of June. (We start tomorrow!) So Excited for this, our legs are going to burn! I go up and down the stairs (counting each run once) At least six times a day! (Tomorrow, i'll count how many stairs and do the Math!) Love life workouts that you can just build into your regular life!

Pounds vs. Inches (Inches won this week)

Dancing 4 Cheeseburgers,

So an update on how yesterday's lunch disaster unfolded...

I went to superstore and bought a Kale & Brussel Sprout Salad, Earth Balance P.B Pops (Which if you haven't tried, they are amazing, and they are vegan!) So my lunch ended up being divine!
*ALSO Boneless/Skinless Chicken breasts 5 pack were on for 6$ at Superstore*

I won't be writing tomorrow so I thought I would give you a progress report today.

I haven't lost any pounds this week (sad face) BUT, I have lost INCHES!!!

I lost:

1 inch in my BUST
.5 an inch in my WAIST
1 inch in my HIPS
.5 an inch in my ARMS
1 inch in my LEGS

For a total of 4 inch loss this week!!!! I'm beyond happy with this! My body is changing rapidly, even if it isn't in the pound department!

Dancing 4 Cheeseburgers,

I'm so happy to tell you all I lost a total of -4lbs last week!!! OH MY LANTA! I'm back, I'm back, I'm back! I feel so happy, I ate crazy well, with one cheat meal and a little lax on the week end! But I'm feeling wonderful and the -4lbs is just validation that I know how to do this now! So there really isn't any excuses not to do it.

I'm a little nervous about today. It's the first day I'm back in the Gym. My Physiotherapist approved to go back with with light cardio and leg work outs, nothing with the upper body. Thank you so much for taking another Ride with me on this crazy Journey! This summer I'm going to reach my goals (again) New goals, New summer, New ME!

It took me 10 months to loss -54 lbs and -19 inches. (an average of 5.5 lb loss a month & -2 inch loss a month) I went from a TIGHT size 16 to a now size 12. So this Summer i'm hoping to go from a comfortable size 12 to a comfortable size 8! GOAL: (To lose 25-30 lbs in 4.5 months that will be 6 lbs loss a month and a 2.5 inch loss a month)  Slightly more aggressive than my year has been, but not undo-able, and completely reasonable! I feel like I've sort of figured out what works for my body, I just have to fully commit to the Plan!

In case you forgot this was me last June 2015!

No more Lattes

D4C,

OH Baby I feel so GOOD! I feel like I'm bragging but I just feel so much better than I did a week ago. I know Healthy Eating and Living makes you feel better, but the difference is unreal. I have more energy and am a lot less bloated. (like way less bloated! - It must be from not eating dairy!

NO MORE LATTES! That is such a tricky one for me. I love my Starbucks. I have to almost mentally trick myself not to drink them. (Only Matcha Slushy's and Tea going forward)  I've spoke about this drink the beginning of the last Journey; But I thought I would re-visit it. I love tea! So this is a cold refreshing drink from Starbucks that I'm OBSESSED with!

Order a Custom Ice Tea:
1 Scoop Matcha Powder
2 Pumps of Sugar Free Vanilla
3 Pumps of Frappichino Base
Blended with Ice & Water

Oh My Lanta, Soooo Delicious and only 56-60 Calories (Not exact)

Let's Talk Inches. I'm going to try and be more focused on Inches this Second Round Journey than the first. My Very Start Inches were, 45-39-49 (size 16) (OH MY) Which was June 1, 2016. My Current Inches situation, 42-35-43 (size 12) Now the fun part! MY GOALS!!! 38-28-38

Bust: 38 Waist: 28 Hips: 38 Basically Kim Kardashian hahaha! (joking kind of)

So a total loss of;
Bust: -3
Waist: -4
Hips: -6

To be super honest, it is hard to read those inches, knowing they have gone up in the last 2 months, instead of down. I'm going to take it one week, no one day at a time and I know I can get there! Reaching for the Stars!

THE WAGON - DRIVERS SEAT

Hello Dancing friends,

I'm sorry I haven't written in a few months! I was in a small car accident and hurt my neck and shoulder. I couldn't work out and lost some of my drive for health and wellness. Because I couldn't work out I found myself picking at foods I normally would never even look at. So Chips, Chocolate and Fast food later, I have totally fell off the Wagon! I was hanging on, but I officially have fallen all the way off! I am happy to say in this jog to get back on the wagon, I have only gained 10lbs! (I shouldn't say only) I'VE GAINED 10LBS!!! That's Awful.

Please will you join me again this summer, to get back on the wagon, to not only find a seat in the wagon but to be in the DRIVERS SEAT!

I'm still managing the pain from my accident and am going to start off slow. But SLOW and STEADY always wins the race! I almost feel like i'm starting over. I know that's not true, I've still lost 50 lbs! And i'm still super proud of what I have accomplished. I'm just anxious to now re-start the Journey!

I know everyone has their moments where they slip. I have two very motivating friends who basically said to me, WELL JUST GET BACK ON IT!

Here is my intensive plan for the summer!

My Eating Plan:

May 1- May 7: Raw till 4PM (No Calorie Counting) Healthy Supper

May 7-June 6: 100% Paleo  1 Cheat Meal for the Month (1500-1700 Calorie Intake)

June 7- July 1: Raw till 4PM (No Calorie Counting)  Paleo Supper

July 2 & July 3:  Cheat days

July 4 - July 31: Strict Paleo (Nothing White) (1500-1700 Calorie Intake)

Aug 1 - Aug 9: Raw till 4PM (No Calorie Counting) Paleo Supper

Aug 10 - Aug 14: Vacation - Healthy Choices (1200-1500 Calorie Intake)

Aug 15 - Aug 26: Raw till 4PM (No Calorie Counting) Paleo Supper

Inches and Food

D4C,

I`ve decided to wait a while to do my inches measurements! I would like a drastic difference! This is the current comparison:

Inches:
45-39-49 (started measuring inches: June 8, 2015) *this was a week and a half into my Health Journey so I feel as thought they were at least an inch bigger every where!*

37-30-39 (As of: January 22, 2016)

37-27-37 (goal by: April 26, 2016)

_________________________________________________________________________

GOALS:
No more inches off my bust... (if a little more comes off i'm okay with that)
3 more inches off my waist...
2 more inches off my hips...

Very reasonable Goals!

If I achieve these goals in a total of 11 months I will have lost:
8 inches off my bust...
12 inches off my waist...
12 inches off my hips...

For a total inches loss of: 32 inches!!

I feel like my goals have been consistently changing, moving and shifting... I'm not sure if i really should have dates on these new goals but here goes nothing!

I weighed in on Friday, No weight loss or gain. But it's my monthly lady friend! So i'm pleased with the no change! I'm doing a modified raw daily diet (only adding goats cheese and the occasional quiona) with a cooked meal for supper. (that includes a lot of meat!)

(My week ends are my own! I eat reasonably but how ever I feel like! I'll eat a slice of pizza or burger and pasta.... but most of it makes me sick now, so all in moderation.)

Guacamole Love

Good Morning Dancing 4 Cheeseburger Readers,

I eat a TON of Guacamole, I would say I eat at least 5 avocado's a week! (maybe more...) I try not to buy pre-made guacamole (not saying I don't) if i'm in a hurry i'll grab a couple containers, but it's so easy to make your own! I have two recipes I use. The quick version and the yummier version haha!

The Quick Version: (I make this one on the daily)
2 Avocado's smashed
Guacamole powder from Sobeys (Spices already blended for you)

The Yummier Version: (this recipe is a few recipes mixed together, that I have experimented with)
2-3 Avocados smashed (depends on size)
1/2-1 small Onion diced
1 Tomato diced
2 Jalapeno Peppers (Optional)
Fresh Cilantro (to taste)
Fresh Lime Juice
1 tsp of Garlic Powder
1-2 tsp of Pepper
1-2 tsp of Salt
*I sometimes add Cumin or Cayenne Pepper*

So I curiously googled dancing for cheeseburgers just to see what comes up and I found the most hilarious link. It`s so funny and it`s like it was made for my blog:

Feeling Accomplished

Hello and Good Morning,

I'm so happy to share this picture with you! On the left is me May 31, 2015 and on the right is me January 25, 2016! 8 months apart, 57 lbs lost (so far) 8 inches off my chest, 9 inches off my waist, 10 inches off my hips. I feel very accomplished seeing these pictures side by side. But it only makes me want to reach my new goals and my new health challenges! (Official Week Weight Loss Post tomorrow)

I thought I would share my new health goals and challenges I would like to complete in the next couple of months!

New GOALS for 2016:

1. Being able to go in a store and pick up a size 8 (and be confident it will fit!)
I'm going to do this by working out more and monitoring my food, I believe I would need to lose 15-20 more lbs to achieve this goal.

Hoping to do this by: April 26, 2016

For a total weight loss of 77-80lbs in 11 months.

2. More Core Focused Exercise
I'm going to achieve this goal by doing a five minute ab routine every night before my shower.

3. Join a Yoga Class (with my Husband)
Finding the time to commit to a class where the two of us can go.

Finding a babysitter once a week for Penelope.

4. Buy a Bathing Suit (Two Piece)
Commit to the first three goals and then stop being a baby! (Acceptance is key for this one)

5. Officially commit to this permanent lifestyle
I feel as though I have already done this, even though I have weak moments. I would like to just commit further and hope that this new body and pictures like the above remind me why I have changed.

New Scale RANT

Dancing 4 Cheeseburgers,

Sorry this post is mostly just a rant about our new scale!

So, I don't know how I feel about this NEW SCALE we bought on the week end. It says I'm 5 whole pounds heavier than the last scale! So does that mean I started my Journey 5 pounds more than I thought, or that I haven't lost 6.5 pounds in the last two weeks? I know the number on the scale shouldn't matter that much,  but in this moment it does!! I'm going to go with I started the Health Journey 5 pounds heavier than I thought...??

The Secret

Hello Dancing friends,

I'm having a wonderful 2016 in the HEALTH Journey Department of my wonderful life. I have lost -2.5 lbs this week! We are back on track...

I've discovered a strong love for tea, in this Journey. I cannot give up caffeine, I have tried and failed. but I have switched to tea instead of coffee and lattes. I now find myself craving a good cup of tea!
My Tea stash is getting larger and larger (PS. my new favorite is the Chocolatey Chai... (Oh My Lanta, Purchase it now!)

I often get asked "why are you always so happy?" and my answer is "How could I not be?" I feel as though people are always looking for more, more money, better house, the next step in life. I feel as though I have mastered the enjoying and appreciating what I have. Not that I don't have goals or strive for things. But I honestly think I have everything I need! How could I not be happy with my loving Husband, Beautiful Daughter, Sweet House, Good Job. I came across this quote which i'm surely going to use from now on:

Thinking out loud?

Hello Cheeseburger Dancers,

Those who know me, know I am a little bit OCD. (un-diagnosed, but very obvious) I have certain things I need a certain way, or things that I get anxiety over! (Such as being late for things, and bridges) I feel when I became a mother, I had to let some of my odd little "OCD tendencies" go, so I could become a better mother. But by doing that some of my other "OCD tendencies" have become much worse. I feel like food was/is one of those odd little tendencies, I have to eat things in a certain way, and order. I can't have any food touching on my plate unless they are "supposed" to touch. Anyways, I have found with these "OCD tendencies" making certain food a ritual makes "dieting" or this lifestyle easier.

My regular food ritual:
7AM Starbucks (tea or latte with soy)
10AM Fruit at my desk (usually with cinnamon)
12PM Salad (always different - but always a salad)
2PM Tea (Tim Horton's)
3PM Fruit (Usually an Apple)
5:30PM Supper (Something with lots of Protein and a little carbs)
7PM Tea (My own)

If one of your "resolutions" for the new year was to be healthier or diet, or change your habits. I feel you need to change the way you view eating. If people thought of eating as a ritual (sounds boring) and not something for "pleasure" (even though you may get pleasure from eating something)  it would be easier to follow or commit to a healthy lifestyle. (Not sure if this makes sense) "Think of food as a fuel for your body." (Life lessons from my Husband)

I feel as though this post was me thinking out loud. Thanks for listening.
I'll post some new pics tomorrow and my weigh in! :)

Leopard Time Line

Hello, Good Morning Cheeseburger Lovers,

Here is my Leopard Print Dress Time line: (Hopefully soon, I wont be able to wear the dress at all!)

After this picture was taken, I wrote this in my blog (August 10, 2015): "This used to be my favorite dress, it hasn't fit in over a year. The first picture is the first day it "fit" it was still very tight across the mid section and my hips just fit into it. And the second picture is me today, wearing the dress with tons of room in the mid-section, and when you see me from the side you can't see my body (it's a bag dress!) The other part you'll notice is my arms (how tight the sleeves are in the fist picture, and how loose they are in the second picture) The happiest little human right now!"
